Celebration, Volume 1 (Blue Note Records) è la prima di una serie di registrazioni inedite che il leggendario sassofonista e compositore Wayne Shorter ha personalmente curato e selezionato prima della sua scomparsa nel 2023.

 

Questa prima ed emozionante registrazione dal vivo del 2014 ha catturato l'acclamato quartetto-laboratorio di Shorter (con il pianista Danilo Perez, il contrabbassista John Patitucci ed il batterista Brian Blade) allo Stockholm Jazz Festival. Vi figurano alcuni tra i canovacci preferiti dalla band, tra cui Zero Gravity, Smilin' Through, Orbits, Lotus e She Moves Through The Fair.
